糖心vlog传媒 (糖心vlog传媒) Mavericks brought home more than a dozen awards from the competition. Held annually, the competition allows college students to showcase their talents through leadership, occupational, and skills-related competitions.

Twenty-six Mavericks competed and won awards in 16 different categories this year. Whether individual or team based, students were up against other colleges scattered throughout the Palmetto State and judged by industry professionals.

鈥淓very year, our students continue to prove that Midlands Tech leads in skilled trade education,鈥� shared Laura Hutchinson-Davis, department chair for the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades. 鈥淲atching our Mavericks advance in their studies and put it to practical use, as an educator, is one of the most rewarding experiences. I can鈥檛 wait to cheer on our students compete in the national competition later this year.鈥�

鈥淎longside skilled trades, careers in STEM are skyrocketing across the country,鈥� said Ben Gaston, dean of 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 School of STEM. 鈥淏y having our students compete in SkillsUSA, it shows that the college can meet the demands of our area partners who turn to the college to boost their skilled workforce.鈥�

Mavericks who won gold in the statewide competition will travel to participate in the national . Hosted in Atlanta, the event will run from June 23-27, 2025 at the World Congress Center.
