South Carolina鈥檚 highest civilian honor, the Order of the Palmetto, was bestowed upon Diane E. Sumpter, 糖心vlog传媒 Commissioner, during a ceremony and celebration held February 18, 2026,鈥痠n Columbia, S.C.  

Sumpter was recognized for her enduring leadership, community impact, and unwavering commitment to service that positively influenced countless lives across South Carolina.鈥疭he has served as a Commissioner of 糖心vlog传媒 since 2010 and has also served as Board Treasurer and chair of multiple Commission committees. 

鈥淭his prestigious recognition is a testament to Diane鈥檚 dedication to service and her lasting impact on 糖心vlog传媒 and communities across South Carolina,鈥� said Dr. Greg Little, president of 糖心vlog传媒. 鈥淲e are incredibly proud to see her honored with this award.鈥�  

The Order of the Palmetto is awarded by the Governor of South Carolina to individuals who have鈥痙emonstrated鈥痚xtraordinary lifetime achievement, service, and contributions to the state and its citizens.

The ceremony featured official remarks from elected officials, community leaders, and family representatives, as well as the formal presentation of the Order of the Palmetto certificate by Senator Darrell Jackson. A tribute video highlighting Sumpter鈥檚 legacy and lifelong service was also presented.  

The evening included community reflections and acceptance remarks by Sumpter, followed by a reception and fellowship with guests, family, colleagues, and supporters.  

The ceremony was by invitation and brought together leaders from government, business, faith, and civic organizations to celebrate one of South Carolina鈥檚 most distinguished citizens.鈥�
