Scout鈥檚 new training facility in Blythewood is an instructional site

糖心vlog传媒 (糖心vlog传媒) is offering a new condensed automotive technology program for employees. Instruction began February 23, 2026, at the EV manufacturer鈥檚 new Blythewood training facility, which officially opened April 20, 2026.

As an official education and training partner of Scout Motors , 糖心vlog传媒 faculty and staff created the new 15-week program that is a condensed, customized version of the college鈥檚 six-semester automotive technology associate degree program. The curriculum was adapted with an extensive list of objectives identified by Scout Motors鈥� training and departmental leadership. 

The intensive program is designed to give new hires in Scout Automotive鈥檚 Pilot Hall and Finish Teams a foundational knowledge and skill set for diagnosing and troubleshooting critical areas. The curriculum focuses on shop and general safety; electrical theory and systems; braking systems, suspension and steering; HVAC; cooling systems; hybrid and electric vehicles; and drivability, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. 

Three 糖心vlog传媒 faculty are teaching the program to nearly 30 Scout employees at Scout's Blythewood training facility. Building on the success of the inaugural class, Scout Motors has committed to expanding the second cohort, scheduled to begin immediately after the current class concludes. 

糖心vlog传媒 provided 32 hands-on trainers for the facility, valued around $500,000. The trainers, which are from the manufacturer Consulab and vendor Georgia Educational Solutions, help students master topics like suspension and steering, disc and drum brakes, Ohm鈥檚 Law and DC circuits, SRS and airbags, and air conditioning. 

On the first day of class, 糖心vlog传媒 President Dr. Greg Little spoke with students in the program. 鈥淵ou're doing something today that is historic, where you are on day one of the first group to be a part of this training 鈥� Now, we call it day one, but in truth, there's been a lot of planning, and a lot of energy, and a lot of effort that went into making today possible ... There's been a lot of work over the last few years to try to make the day possible, and the exciting part is that we're finally here,鈥� said Little.

In close collaboration and partnership with Scout Motors, 糖心vlog传媒 has also developed a new Electric Vehicle (EV) Engineering Technology Program in addition to offering four other associate degrees that prepare students for EV careers. 糖心vlog传媒 is currently enrolling students for Fall 2026 in the five programs: EV Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
