糖心vlog传媒 (糖心vlog传媒) professor Dr. Eric Goff has earned the 2021 Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Southern Region Faculty Award. Each year, the ACCT recognizes community college leaders who make a positive impact in higher education and communities.

Dr. Goff is a biology instructor and the assistant director for 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 latest Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) titled M.O.R.E. 鈥� Maximizing Online Readiness and Excellence. M.O.R.E. helps students prepare for online classes, and though it was developed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, it served the college well with the increased interest in online and virtual courses during the past year.

鈥淭hrough his work with M.O.R.E., Dr. Goff helped many of our students successfully transition to online and virtual courses during the pandemic,鈥� said Dr. Ronald Rhames, 糖心vlog传媒 President. 鈥淎dditionally, his background in educational technology and research helped him smoothly transition his own courses, and he even volunteered to help other instructors in the process.鈥�

鈥淒r. Goff is a favorite among students. He helps them understand and retain complex material, and just as importantly, he makes it clear he believes in each one of them," said Dr. Barrie Kirk, 糖心vlog传媒 Provost.

The 2021 Regional ACCT Awards will be presented October 14, 2021 during the 2021 ACCT Leadership Congress in San Diego, CA. As a regional award recipient, Dr. Goff is also being nominated for the national William H. Meardy Faculty Member Award that will be presented October 15.

This is the second year in a row that an 糖心vlog传媒 professor has taken home the Southern Region Faculty Award. Dr. Robert Gilmer, chair of the 糖心vlog传媒 Humanities Department, was the 2020 recipient of the award.

ACCT鈥檚 Southern Region includes 11 U.S. states as well as Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
